How to book an appointment

All patients registered with Aylesham Medical Practice are able to book an appointment with our team of healthcare professionals. This includes our GPs, mental health nurses and our other healthcare professionals.

To book an appointment with one of our healthcare professionals, you can call the surgery from 08.30 am to 17.00 pm.

Alternatively, you can book an appointment by coming into the surgery, online consultations or via the self-book link provided by the surgery via SMS.

No longer need your GP appointment or not able to attend your appointment?

If you are no longer able to make your GP appointment or feel you no longer need the appointment then please try to notify our staff as early as possible to allow this appointment to be given to another patient in need of an appointment.

Failure to notify the practice will result in a failure to attend (DNA) to be recorded.

Repeated failures to attend a booked GP appointment is a waste of NHS time and materials and may result in your registration being removed from the practice list.

If you are unable to attend, please inform the practice by calling:

How to view your appointments

All patients are now able to use the NHS app in order to view up and coming appointments to ensure you do not miss any appointments.

To view your upcoming appointments using the NHS app, simply open the app on your smartphone and log in to your account. Once logged in, navigate to the ‘Appointments’ section, which can usually be found on the main menu or dashboard.

Here, you will be able to see a list of your scheduled appointments, including the date, time, and location.

You can click on each appointment to view more details, such as the healthcare provider’s name and any specific instructions or preparations you may need to follow.

The NHS app also allows you to receive reminders and notifications for your upcoming appointments, ensuring that you never miss an important healthcare visit. It’s a convenient and user-friendly way to stay informed about your healthcare schedule
